Mid Sunset on North Rim

Chico Sunsets, Feels Like Home:

I am always looking for trees that stand out.  I have walked past this one many times.  If you are hiking up the North Rim of Upper Bidwell Park you probably have too.  Under normal circumstances it can blend in.  On this day I was hiking down at it towards the end of the day and it just looked different.  With the clouds in the sky there was a potential for sunset, so I decided to hang out.  Pretty excited about that decision!  The color started slow and just kept getting better.  I was focused on getting what I needed to produce the final print.  In those moments, I cannot stress how much I love my profession.  Having the equipment and knowledge to capture this moment represents a lifetime of learning and is pure joy!
