Winter Clouds at Delicate Arch—Arches National Park, Utah: On a solo trip to The Southwest, I ended up at Arches with potential weather. I arrived late in the morning, hiked in, and was blown away. Lassen Descending into the Clouds—Lassen Volcanic National Park, CA: This felt like a somewhat busy morning Lassen. After we got about a mile in, we still saw nearly a dozen people. Busy is a relative term….. The weather report said a storm would move in, which was, of course, why we were there! Yosemite High Country—Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite National Park, California: This was one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen while having dinner. We pan-fried New York Steaks. To finish it off, we crisped cubed potatoes and boiled broccoli. All while sitting in our camp chairs and taking it in. This dinner would have been good at home.
